Skylar's Next Theme...............
Dreams and Aspirations

via Jar The Ground
Our next theme is going to be "Dreams and Aspirations", and I wanted to get a head start on it.......................................
I am really stoked about this theme and wanted to share with you, the subjects that will be covered.
Each day I will be presenting to you one of the subjects that will go along with the "dreams and aspirations" theme and there will be questions for you to answer as well.
So, here is the first one..........
Childhood Dreams

*When you were kid, what did you dream about? Did you dream about being a princess, did you dream about living in a castle or did you dream about being a Superhero, were you able to fly?
Working in childcare I learned a lot about a child's imagination, in a child's mind anything is possible, they can be anything they want to be. What was your imagination like? I can remember literally thinking I was Dorothy.
*What did you want to be when you grew up? A doctor, a teacher, a scientist, an astronaut, an artist, a writer, a movie star? Did you want to be famous?
I think I always wanted to be a writer, I've always enjoyed it. I believe that there are some people who are born to be writers or doctors. You may not be able to fly off of a building, but maybe you were born to be a pilot.
Your child won't be one of her favorite Disney princesses, but I think what little girls love about those princesses it the magic, the beauty, the dresses... maybe they will end up working in the fashion or beauty industry.
I'm not Dorothy, but I think it was her ruby red slippers that made me love shoes so much, I think the magic and all of the pretty colors in that movie had an impact me. I still love bright and colorful things. I also love anything that sparkles and shines.
*Did you pursue your childhood dreams and aspirations or did you grow out of them?
I started writing at the age of 7 and I have always loved fashion and I'm still writing and trying to make a career out of it.
I have also always loved children, even when I was a child myself, I was always very motherly with younger children... especially my cousins. I loved my dolls like they were my own. I think I always wanted to be a mommy and that is the one thing I want more than anything now.
*Are you happy where you are now, with your life and career? If there was one thing about your life what would you change? Do you ever wish you would have stuck with the dreams and aspirations you had as a child?
I do love comments and you are always welcome and encouraged to leave them, but since there are so many questions I would love it if you would send your answers to skylarmagazine.sarah@gmail.com*
