Having a fun summer? 

It's so hard to believe it's almost over already and that kids will be heading back to school so soon. It's sad that it's flying by so fast. I haven't had the chance to really enjoy it much. It was great in the beginning, but then everyone got so busy. Plus it's been so hot! It's almost too miserable to be outdoors.

By now, I normally start to get a little excited about all of the fall festivities that are to come... Halloween, Thanksgiving, hay rides, chilly Autumn nights, when the sky is more of a darker shade of midnight blue and the moon is full and bright. I love to watch the leaves change, when they go from green to golden yellow and orange.

I also love the aroma that fills the air at night, when there is a fire burning somewhere close by. It must come from the chimneys or someone is usually having a bonfire somewhere. That scent tends to travel pretty far. I can even smell it when we're out at night driving with the windows down. I love that smell!

For whatever reason, I'm just not enthusiastic about it yet. I'm sure I'll get there in the coming weeks, but I'm just not ready for it! 

I think I just need another month of summer, or maybe we can just rewind a little bit, so we can all enjoy it a little longer. How about a do-over? Sounds good to me! Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way.  You can't go back, all you can do is move forward.

One thing I am looking forward to... the trends! If anything is going to get me motivated and in the fall spirit, it's going to be all of the pretty stylish things I've been spotting. 

This has been such a fabulous season for trends! It's all been so colorful and cheery! It's been such a sweet summer, because of all the pretty pastel pinks, yellows, greens and blues, I'm surprised I didn't have any cavities at my last cleaning appointment. I did have 2 abscesses though! 

I'm going to miss the summer's loveliest looks! But, I think we are in for a real treat this fall season. I think it's going to be just as fabulous and just as festive! I'm not quite ready for sweaters and turtlenecks just yet, but I'm getting there... slowly but surely. I have been scoping out the trends and I have seen some phenomenal-looking boots!

If you are as bummed as I am about having to say goodbye to summer, I have lots of fall previews that I think will get you pumped and ready for the change of season. Summer's not over yet though, instead of dwelling, I think we all just need to enjoy what's left of it. It's not like it won't be back... It will be here again before you know it!
