Remember M*A*S*H*

MASH

I've been watching this show a lot lately. The show is called M*A*S*H* which is a classic.  If you have never seen it, it comes on every night at 6 on TV Land. I'm hooked!

The show stars Alan Alda, who in my opinion is a phenominal actor. I've always admired his work. Not too long ago, they did a special tribute on TV Land and that's kind of where it started.

I remember watching it with my dad when I was a kid, I was too young to understand it at the time, but I was always intrigued by it and I loved taking naps to it. It was Alda's voice, it was so comforting. I also enjoyed the intro song, which has been stuck in my head for weeks.. I've even caught myself humming it. It's a very catchy tune, but when I was little I thought it was very peaceful and nice to nap to.

It really is a great show and it had such a remarkable cast. My favorite character is and always has been Raidar. He's just a really cool guy. He was kind of a cutie actually.

Anyway, the show got me thinking about a game my friends and I use to play in class. It was called M*A*S*H*. Remember that game? It had nothing to do with a show, it was a game that us boy crazy girls always loved to play.

I don't remember exactly, but I think it went something like this:

MASH!

-I didn't think I would actually find a picture of it, but thanks to Pinterest, you can pretty much find anything. Photo via Like Totally 80's.-

You would take a piece of paper or your friend would take a piece of paper and at the top she would write the word M*A*S*H* M- Mansion, A- Apartment, S-Shack, H-House.

There would be several different categories like, boys and those boys would be who you would marry, what color your dress will be, what color his tux will be, where you will get married, honeymoon, your car, his car, how many kids you'll have and where the first child would be conceived.

Then you would go through the whole thing until there was 1 thing not crossed off in each category and the results would go something like:

You will marry Bob in a church wearing a black dress, your honeymoon will be in a Motel 6 in somewhere over the rainbow, you'll live in a shack, your car will be a ferrari and his will be an old beat up hooptie and you'll have 50 kids and the first one would be conceived in a hot tub.

So, yeah that's pretty much how it went I think. Sounds about right. It was silly, but it was fun. Gosh, I miss those days!

Do kids still play this game and did you ever play it? Are there any other memories are activities you miss from your childhood or teen years?
