How To Submit Photos, Stories etc
You can always submit photos, stories, tips, etc anytime and I encourage all of my readers to do so. Skylar is about real people and their style, their experiences, their tips and secrets and their stories. To do this you can either send them to me on Facebook or My Space which you can find in the links section to the right or look for instructions at the end of my posts. I will also let you know when their are opportunities to participate and submit as well.

Skylar And a New Beginning
Hi everyone! I know it's been forever since I last posted and I apologize for not keeping the blog updated. For the past several months I have been dealing with major writers block and lack of inspiration and I was pretty bored with the content I was presenting to you. I don't think that I was staying true to what Skylar is all about which is fashion, real people and inspiration. As much as I love writing about celebrities and sharing my thoughts and admiration for them and will continue to do so I really want to focus more on finding the real stars of Skylar which are regular people like you and me who are living their lives like everyone else.
It has been almost 8 years since I started this and let me tell you it's not easy running a magazine or getting a business off the ground. I have definitely struggled, I have had to start over from scratch a couple of times, but I have also learned a lot through the years just from my own experiences and the knowledge I have gained from doing my own research and experimenting. I made some mistakes along the way, but I have grown from them and I now understand what works and what doesn't. I still have a lot of growing to do though, I learn something new pretty much everyday. I do have a better understanding as far as business and legal matters go, but I don't know everything. I'm still trying to get into classes so that I can gain even more knowledge. I think learning and experimenting is an on-going process for any entrepeneur whether you are just starting out or are as successful as someone like Bill Gates.
I had to put the blog on hiatus temporarily so I could do my own research and come up with better content. I've done a lot of brainstorming and I think it is time for a new beginning. I will still be using a lot of my old ideas that worked in the past, but I also have a lot of new ones as well. I'm going back to the basics and I'm hoping to gain more followers and find people who can contribute. I'm looking for volunteers who would be interested in writing, editing, organizing, graphic design, advertising, modeling and I encourage all of my readers and followers to send feedback, submit photos and participate as much as possible.
I am unable to pay at this time, I just want people to look at this as a fun learning experience with the possibility to move up later on. It is also a chance for you to be part of a really cool new movement which you will learn all about soon enough. I'm asking everyone to please help me gain more followers, please tell your friends about Skylar. I will be posting more information about the new features, projects I am working on and how to contribute and participate soon. Be sure to check back for new updates. Thank you for your support and the wonderful feedback you have been sending.
