New Girl Crush Taylor Swift

Okay so to be completely honest, I'm not particularly fond of her music, although I am a huge country fanatic. She's had some good catchy songs, it's just not my favorite. However, I have the utmost respect for this young lady. I saw her on Ellen last week, which wasn't the first time, she is a favorite of hers. Anyway, I am so impressed by how completely unphased and humble she is, considering she is one of the biggest stars not just in country music, but in general. There is no doubt she is a "superstar" and one would think all of that fame and fortune would have gone to her head by now.

I loved whenever Ellen would compliment her, she would look down and the apples of her cheeks would turn pink, it shows me that she is modest. Usually, I get annoyed with a lot of Ellens guests, but I enjoyed this interview. She's whitty, charming, she's got a great head on her shoulders, and very mature for her age, more so than a lot of the other guests who I've seen on that show. This chick's got it together. I may not be a fan of her music, but I do think she's very talented. I love the fact that she writes her own lyrics and plays instruments, I love the lyrics in her music, I just don't really care for the actual songs. I do respect her as an artist though. I know this may not be a popular thing to say, but I feel the same way about Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan is a great artist, I have loads of respect for him and I am a fan, but he doesn't have the best singing abilities. Isn't there a report card at the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame that shows he got a D in chorus? I heard that somewhere, not sure if it's true, but I wouldn't be surprised.

One thing that stood out to me was when Ellen asked her about her dating life. Taylor claims she is not dating anyone and I truly believe she is being honest about it. It seems like she enjoys being single, she told Ellen she doesn't want to be one of those girls that always has a boyfriend. Basically what I got from the interview was she doesn't want to be one of those girls that goes from one relationship to the other, as if she has to have a man in order to be happy. In other words she is not a serial dater like a lot of people in the entertainment business. You gotta respect that. Miss Swift is still very young, but there are a lot of older woman in that business who could take a hint.

Have any of you tried her new perfume? I haven't seen it anywhere, I "wonder" what is like?  I guess that means I'm "Wonderstruck".

 Actually they have it at Sephora, I'll have to save up for this. For those who have tried it, would you recommend it? It's pretty pricey. I love testing celeb perfumes.
